Maybe it’s the dreary weather in New York today, or maybe it’s a secret desire to take a trip out to California until this winter officially passes (spring? This ain’t no spring!) that makes this my pick for the day. Whatever the case, you’ve just gotta love this sun-soaked shot of a couple on a boat. Now that’s what I call a prop! And yes, that prop makes a difference, but at the heart of it is a photographer who knows how to work with light and use the environment to maximum effect. No overt toning, no special effects. Just wonderful use of the light that was available, perfectly balanced and coupled with a delicate and nuanced pose from the bride. Paired with the motion of the groom and his stare to the side, Jasmine has packed the image is full of subtle goodies that create a perfect couture flavor with going overboard.
