Get out before you settle. Don’t pass go, don’t collect $200, just stay on the move, and don’t get comfortable where you are. That’s the key. Because there is no one-size-fits-all formula. There are strategies to employ, but in the long run, success is as much tactical. A series of reactions and adjustments to an ever-changing market. There is nothing self-sustaining about it. Just because you’ve arrived doesn’t mean you’ll get to stay. Take the pat on the back, take the night off, but always get back to it. At best, success is an indicator you’re doing something right, a bump in the paygrade, and a wink and a nod to the ego.
Now is the time more than ever to build up your chops. It’s a secret weapon in a world of instant gratification and an industry powered by repetition and formula. Too many simply settle on the first look, approach, or strategy that works. Go beyond that. It’s easy to get sucked in. Before you know it, you have too much business with too much obligation, and there’s no time to grow. Your wheels are spinning, but you’re not getting anywhere. You just do the same thing over and over. Who has time to keep up? But you can’t polish a turd, and if the fundamentals aren’t there, the well runs dry. It’s not a hard thing to find yourself stuck in second gear with burnout looming. You don’t just want to be the next big thing. You want to last.
Is there a magic bullet? Practice. It’s old-fashioned, but it works. Not just shooting the same thing over and over, but taking the time to get out there and dig in. To play, to explore, to find. To learn and to do things you never even thought to try. Go beyond repetition. Put in 10 minutes a day or half a day each week. Stay on it. Malcolm Gladwell posits that it takes 10,000 hours for anyone to master their field. Start racking up those numbers. Fast Eddie from the Hustler would call it character. You need character to survive.
The market is a fickle friend, and what comes, goes. Protect yourself. Staying hungry will keep you nimble and let you react. It will let you keep growing. Know that security is not everything and trust that you’ll find opportunity. Staying in motion gets you where you want to go. Whatever you do, just don’t settle.

That boldfaced part is creepy. Wonder if they'll offer their unique knowledge of Western society's power structure and their general cunning to the ascending powers… and then do likewise for us after they've gained the trust of the rising powers.I smell a Maltese man boiling in a cauldron.

Bob, it seems that each of the pages to which you linked dances around the issue of identification of passengers, but never answers the question. Could you please quote the relevant portion instead of just pointing us to the entire discussion? Can you explain how the ID check does anything besides 1) protect airline revenue (preventing customers from transferring tickets, thus allowing airlines to sell a seat a second time if the purchaser is unable to use his ticket) and 2) restricting people's freedom of movement using blacklists?– PhilAdd your own questions at

wouldn’t it be something if people didn’t buy as much sugar coated food over the next couple years, and instead used natural sweeteners?I wonder if this court decision will reduce the incidence of Type II diabetes in Americans.
